Ruth Sansom
Senior Vice President, Management Services

Ruth Sansom has over 27 years of experience in project and property management, and she supervises major development, renovation and new construction projects as an integral member of the Management Services Division. A multi-faceted expert, Ms. Sansom has demonstrated skills in site selection, lease negotiation and market analysis as well as project, property, and facilities management.

With an extensive background in major projects for companies in the fields of healthcare and education, Ms. Sansom has worked for Drexel University School of Medicine (formerly MCP Hahnemann University Hospital) where she supervised and coordinated projects that included the renovation and construction of in-patient operating rooms, out-patient surgical suites, research labs, and medical office buildings. While with Cigna Insurance, Ms. Sansom worked with a team of managers to successfully consolidate 16 offices and all employees into the newly constructed 1.3 million sq. ft. Two Liberty Place.

Since joining Binswanger in 2001, Ms. Sansom negotiated the budget, coordinated a large team of contractors and performed overall management for the construction of Community College of Philadelphia’s new $29 million, Center for Business and Industry. She has also worked on projects for Comcast, Drexel University, St. Joseph’s University, Teleflex, Cummins, and Lenfest Foundation.

Ms. Sansom holds a degree from Bauder College in interior design and management. She is a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the Project Management Institute.
