PHILADELPHIA, PA – September 23, 2015 – Binswanger has been named exclusive agent by 300 Brookside Commercial, LP to lease 285,000 sq. ft. of office, lab and flex space at Ambler Yards, a 14-building, 26-acre site located at 300 Brookside Ave, Ambler, Pennsylvania.
The property was formerly used by BASF Corp. as a manufacturing facility and research center. BASF ceased operations at the site in 2013 and recently sold the property to 300 Brookside Commercial who renamed the property ‘Ambler Yards’ and is planning a multi-million dollar redevelopment. Plans call for a mixed use complex of office, lab and industrial space spread over a landscaped campus. Open space will include a natural meadow and a central ‘Yard’ with outdoor patios and gathering spaces. Amenities will include shared conference facilities, a game room, food service, bike storage room and fitness center.
The current buildings feature expansive windows, exposed brick and stone walls, and high-bay doors, which will be utilized in the new design of the interior space. Interface Studio Architects is designing the interior space and Jonathan Alderson Landscape Architects will be designing the exterior space. Redevelopment is expected to start early 2016.
Ambler Yards is conveniently located close to the intersection of several highways including the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Route 476 (the Blue Route), Route 422, and I-76 (the Schuylkill Expressway). SEPTA rail and bus lines run throughout the township providing access throughout the region.
