The seller, Dow Chemical Company, is the largest chemical company in the US and number two worldwide. The Michigan-based is a leader in the production of plastics, chemicals, hydrocarbons, and agrochemicals. The $2.6 million transaction was negotiated by Vice President, Doug Heller of the global real estate firm Binswanger.

The buyer, Layne Christensen, based in Mission Woods, Kansas, provides drilling and construction services related to water, wastewater treatment, and mineral exploration. The company serves such clients as public and private water utilities, industrial companies, mining firms, and heavy civil construction contractors.
