Charlotte, NC – July 20, 2010 – Binswanger is pleased to announce the sale of theStanley Furniture Company distribution facility to Mississippi-based furniture manufacturer United Furniture Industries for a purchase price of $1,140,000. The 362,595 square-foot building sits on 13 acres at 2 Hackney St. in Lexington, North Carolina.

Stanley Furniture Company, headquartered in Virginia, manufactures wood furniture for bedrooms, dining rooms, youth bedrooms, home offices, and living rooms, as well as home entertainment centers.

The buyer, United Furniture Industries, produces living room furniture, including sofas, chairs, recliners, sleepers and other items. The company will assemble frame materials, foam and upholstered material from outside vendors into finished furniture products. United Furniture currently has five locations, including three in Mississippi and two in North Carolina.

Doug Faris, Senior Vice President of Binswanger’s Charlotte, North Carolina office, arranged the sale to United Furniture Industries.
