Located in Decatur County, Bainbridge is nestled in the very southwest corner of Georgia and offers excellent proximity to the three-state area of Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

Situated along the 344-mile long Flint River in Georgia, Bainbridge is one of the few inland ports in the region.  The river flows south from the upper Piedmont region, south of Atlanta to the wetlands of the Gulf Coastal Plain in the southwestern corner of the state.  The river level is maintained by the Corps of Engineers as they control the Chattahoochee Dam, located approximately 40 miles south of Bainbridge.  The 107-acre inland barge terminal handles both bulk and liquid cargo, making shipping by barge a viable option for finished products and/or raw materials.

The property is adjacent to US 27 (North/South) and is in close proximity to US 84 (East/West).  These four-lane divided highways serve Bainbridge for most of distance to the interstate connection.  Bainbridge is approximately 40 miles from I-10 to the south and 80 miles from I-75 to the east offering access to the major Florida marketplace, including the Tallahassee area.

Bainbridge and Decatur County offer several different levels of tax incentives for businesses that are considering locating to the area, including:
