Jake Elkins joined Binswanger in 2024 and supports the general sales activities of the company’s New York team under the direction of Senior Vice Presidents John Harris and Nick Biedron. His duties as a Sales Associate include property and deal analytics, market research, canvassing, and developing presentations and proposals. In addition, he forecasts and tracks activities related to client transactions and identifies potential business opportunities.

Before launching his commercial real estate career, Jake interned for Aspire Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides a fully funded leadership development program for low-income, first-generation college students around the world. There, he conducted comprehensive data analysis and market research, playing a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s market approach and cultivating essential partnerships for hyper-growth. Jake also previously interned for a chai beverage company in Bengaluru, India where he participated in the development and launch of the brand’s largest multi-channel marketing campaign as well as the refinement of the company’s mobile app and cultivation of brand ambassadors.

Jake graduated from Tulane University where he studied Economics and minored in Spanish. He served as president of the university’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity chapter. As such, he was responsible for overseeing the strategic vision of the fraternity and led a four-person team to manage its $300,000 annual budget. In his free time, Jake enjoys guitar, basketball, skiing, and cooking. He also loves traveling internationally and has visited 28 countries across 5 continents.
