Retail Real Estate Strategist Nina Kampler Joins Binswanger’s Board of Experts
PHILADELPHIA, PA – MAY 12, 2025 – Binswanger, a leader in commercial real estate since 1931, today announced the appointment of Nina Kampler to its Board of Experts, a distinguished group of industry leaders providing specialized advisory services to help clients navigate complex real estate challenges and capitalize on emerging trends. With 40 years of experience in retail real estate, law, brokerage, restructuring, and leasing, Kampler brings unparalleled expertise in portfolio strategy, lease restructuring, and market positioning.
As President of Kampler Advisory Group LLC, which she founded in 2012, Kampler provides strategic real estate guidance to retailers, landlords, and investors, leveraging her deep market insight, legal expertise, and extensive industry network. Her advisory work spans store expansions, repositioning, and optimizing real estate portfolios for maximum value.
“We are thrilled to have Nina on our team,” said Jeff Hipschman, Binswanger’s CEO. “With deep expertise from all sides of the transaction—owner, occupier, and transaction/legal advisor—Nina’s unique retail perspectives will provide our clients with a level of retail knowledge not often found in traditional brokerage circles.
Before launching her own firm, Kampler was a Senior Managing Director at CBRE’s Retail Services Group, where she led the New York Tri-State retail brokerage platform and played a key role in integrating CBRE’s high-street retail practice across the U.S. and Europe. Prior to that, she served as Executive Vice President at Hilco Real Estate, advising brands like Starbucks, Tumi, and GEOX on portfolio restructuring and real estate strategy. Kampler also spent 16 years at Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation as Vice President, Retail and Real Estate Counsel, managing store and corporate real estate transactions across the U.S. and Canada and serving as acting General Counsel for Club Monaco.
Beyond traditional retail, Kampler has worked extensively in the specialty food sector, helping a global restaurant chain enter the U.S. market and introducing an award-winning Tel Aviv-based confectionery brand to North America.
A recognized thought leader, Kampler is actively involved with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and has held leadership roles with Georgetown University School of Law’s Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute, the National Retail Tenants Association, and the Wharton School’s University of Shopping Centers.
“I’m enthusiastic about joining Binswanger’s Board of Experts to combine my experience in retail real estate strategy with their platform to help businesses thrive in an evolving market,” said Kampler.
